I love Stephen Sanchez music. I don’t know why or maybe I know why. He has this way of making single people like me experience love without actually experiencing it. I mean, he makes us ‘feel’ music not just listen to it.

I remember the first time I heard ‘Until I found You’, I thought to myself ‘How old is this guy?’. The voice, the lyrics, the different versions he released, the duet with Emi, everything was *chef kiss*.

But this blog is not about Until I found you, it’s about something more. One of his songs from his new album, titled Be More.

I JUST LOVE BE MORE — EEEE

Be more is the dialogue between two lovers, with one asking the other to ‘be more’. The song explores different qualities of love. Love is more than just being swept off ones feet, instead one of the lover is requesting for deeper love, one with desire, beauty and everything in between.

This song is like an appeal for deeper connection between two lovers and for some reasons, when I listen to Be More, I create a scene in my head.

I imagine myself or someone else dancing in the rain with their partner. They are smiling and they feel like no one else is there with them. There is a deep connection between them and their partner and the story of untold struggles to make the love factual plays in the background.

Love wasn’t easy for them. They have had their fair share of betrayals, lack of commitment from other people, heartbreaks and painful situationships. But then, they met themselves and the connection didn’t flow immediately. It happened so slow, they never noticed. And when they did realize they were falling in love with each other, due to the lessons they have gotten in the past, they begged themselves to be more.

Be more than I need you

Be more than I love you

Be more than wishes on the stars

Those were the first words they told each other. They wanted a deeper connection and at the end, they got what they wanted to the extent they could literally know each other’s mind through their eyes.

In the gentle rhythm of raindrops’ dance,
Two hearts were entwined, a fleeting romance.
A melody whispers in the soft cascade,
As love unfolds in the serenade.

Beneath the silver veil of the sky,
They twirl and laugh, no need to be shy.
A symphony of droplets, a lover’s tune,
In this moment, under the crescent moon.

No cares for the world, just them in the rain,
A dance of passion, an unspoken refrain.
Smiles exchanged like secrets untold,
In a love story written, yet to be scrolled.

When music weaves its magic so,
A hopeless romantic’s heart aglow.
In the downpour’s embrace, they find,
A connection deeper, pure and kind.
